We stand together to correct the violence that traumatizes our families. We commit ourselves to the individual and collective work of transforming our communities, one mile at a time. Today, we recognize our responsibility to create safe, nurturing, and inclusive spaces where every voice is heard and every life is valued.

As a Safety Stakeholder, I pledge:

1. To honor the dignity and humanity of every individual in my community, recognizing that safety begins with respect.

2. I denounce every excuse and justification for harm, and require myself to make strong choices.

3. I commit to being a leader in the movement for safety, equity, and peace in my community. 

4. I will actively invite the power of collaboration, the strength of unity, and the possibility of transformation into my home.

5. I will actively dismantle the drivers that perpetuate conflict and invite violence into my environment.

6. I will collaborate to deconstruct poverty, gaps in education, domestic violence, gun violence, and systems of injustice.

7. I will listen deeply to the needs of my neighbors and work alongside them to create solutions that are culturally competent, compassionate, and effective.

8. I will uphold the principles of non-violence and commit to peaceful conflict resolution, building bridges where divisions once stood.

9. I will champion the rights of all people to live free from fear, ensuring that our streets, schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods become sanctuaries of peace and progress.

10. I will engage with and hold accountable the institutions that serve our community, ensuring transparency, fairness, and inclusion in all policies and decisions that affect our lives.

11. I am a beacon of hope and a force for change, understanding that my actions can inspire others and spark movements that ripple far beyond my own efforts.

12. Let me legacy honor those who have fallen, who are suffering, and who have survived.
