Self Protection Program &
In her book, "Conversations with a Pedophile" Amy Hammel-Zabin quotes a pedophile who says: “My methods were designed to build very slowly, a child’s acceptance of the need for secrets. At the same time, secrecy gave me the opportunity to make a child believe that I was the only person in the world who really cared for him.”
It seems we have taught our kids to not talk to strangers, but we haven't taught them the dangers of keeping secrets. We have also failed to offer clear, easy kid-friendly body safety rules that can empower them to protect themselves. We want to help develop a generation of kids who can feel empowered and be confident.
Konfident Kids is a program unlike any you have seen before. We pair empowerment and leadership in a way that teaches both self protection and confidence. Our format is fun, kid-friendly, and contains an environment of Wow! Its designed to re-emphasize one important point: "konfident kids don't keep secrets with adults". We accompany our kids assembly with our powerful parenting workshop called "Keeping Konfident Kids Off Limits". The workshop is packed with educational research and practical tools to apply at home. Every parent will leave with the six body safety rules every kid needs to know. Every kid and parent will also receive take home tools that can help them practice safety in their communities.
As an educator and former kid's pastor, we are also two moms that know just how important this issue is. As professional artists, we also know how important it is to create an environment that makes learning about this topic fun and engaging. Konfident Kids is truly the best option for educating parents and kids. Our program also helps schools meet the requirements of the Texas Family Code (TFC) Chapter 261, Texas Education Code (TEC) §38.004 and §38.0041, and the Texas Administration Code (TAC) §61.1051 to offer mandatory child abuse anti-victimization programs and related professional development provisions for schools and parents. Consider partnering with us in this year, and bring this outstanding program to kids and parents in your school or community organization.
